Volunteer Trip
Alright, so every year our youth group from church takes a volunteer trip to the Children's Home in Paragould, AR. I have gone for 5 years so far and it has been GREAT!! I love the trip so much that I look forward to the next one the minute one is over. So while we were there, we did all sorts of tasks from painting a house, building a drain, and painting a huge fuel tank.

The tasks me and one of my best friends Eliza had were:
Building a door out of old wood and tin. (I cut myself with a hammer and a crowbar)

Cleaning out a small barn (that happened to be filled with wasps...)

Scrape rust off of a fuel tank and paint it chrome silver.

Tear down an old corral. (Sprained my wrist and got lots of cuts and scrapes)

Paint a propane tank chrome silver.

The trip is great because usually everyday feels like 2 days. From 8 to 4 we are working our butts off and then we go back to our 'temporary house' and eat dinner. After we eat dinner we have a devotional while sitting in a big circle. After that we are free to do whatever. We had a friend we had met last year come and visit us, and we had a BLAST every night.

All in all, that week was GREAT!!!! I wish I could go back and experience it over and over and over and over.

College
I registered for college last week!! When I first got there, there wasn't much scheduled for us to do and I felt extremely unprepared. But that night around 7 we had a banquet and then meetings with people of the same major as you. After that, I felt way more prepared and ready!

At around 9 p.m. they had some tension breakers in the form of blooper letters they had sent out. This was the most hilarious part of the whole day!! It was great! (:

The next day, we had a million different meetings, and yet is was amazingly fun! At 1 p.m. I met with my adviser, who is the most amazing man ever!! I was essentially the first freshman to sign up for classes because of him!! It's amazing because I have no class until 10 and no class after 3. I love my schedule and I am 100% pleased with my college!! I want to move there now! (:

I am taking 16 hours of college and I am doing marching band because I was talked into it by the band director and I'm extremely pumped about the whole thing!!

I am SO EXCITED FOR THE YEAR AHEAD OF ME!!

Oh and they also told us that either Paramore or Jason Mraz are coming to do a concert in the fall!!! I already bought my activity pass, so essentially I already have my ticket!!! (:

I also cant wait for my best friend to visit me!

And I will stop ranting now.
